It's hard to capture her smiling, but she is a pretty happy little girl. She wasn't too sure about the mulch on the ground - she's just getting more comfortable with walking in the grass. She's very sensitive to textures!

Since we've nicknamed Parker with Parker-Poo, Craig thought it was only fitting that she dress up as Winnie the Pooh for Halloween. We had a great time with our friends, and she didn't seem to mind the costume at all. At her daycare, they often put her hood on when it's been cooler outside, so I think that helped a lot.

This past weekend we were in New Orleans visiting Denise, Marty, Ally and Stevie. We had a great time, and Parker loved playing with their Puggle, Colt. Our dogs typically scatter when she enters the room, but Colt didn't mind her at all. By the end of the weekend, she was giving him lots of kisses and didn't mind the licks in return.

Next up, Thanksgiving in Reno...ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-22634580539875013652010-09-21T12:43:00.003-06:002010-09-21T12:43:44.243-06:00ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-82627410909117077802010-09-21T12:43:00.001-06:002010-09-21T12:43:04.351-06:00ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-46362402944748475252010-09-21T11:46:00.003-06:002010-09-21T11:55:31.659-06:00Summer in TexasIt's been a long time since I've posted here - lots to talk about. First off, we moved back to Dallas after being away over 2 years. We found a great house about 3 blocks from our old house in Lakewood and are so happy to be back. The heat and humidity this summer have been a little much - we're so ready for fall and keep saying it's just around the corner. Parker has adjusted really quickly to her new home and daycare - she's walking like a champ and is really babbling a lot too.

More news - we have baby #2 on the way. We're about 17 weeks along this week (due March 5th) - thank goodness for the 2nd trimester. I'm starting to show a little, but at this point it just looks like I'm eating too much. Looking forward to the "Oh yeah, she's pregnant" stage versus this one...

I hope to be better at posting to this blog now that I'm working from home. Talk about lucky - I was able to keep my job with Sunrise Medical in Colorado and travel back once a month. Craig found a great job at Heely's in North Dallas and is doing really well there. I keep talking about how lucky we have been to find/keep great jobs and move back to family/friends, but I think we paid a few dues in Colorado!

As you can tell from the pictures, it's college football season AND it's becoming harder to catch Parker on film. We'll have to start taking more videos!ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-50974461749316280422010-06-30T13:07:00.003-06:002010-06-30T13:12:29.555-06:00Trip to DallasParker and I went to Dallas last weekend to meet Craig to look at houses. It was an exhausting weekend, but we think we found one. Hopefully we'll get it!

Below are 2 videos from our weekend - the top one was Parker's first time in a pool at Grandma and Pop Pop's house...well, other than the blow up one in our backyard over Memorial Day. She seemed to really like it - didn't hurt that it felt like bathwater! And the second video seems to be Parker's new thing with Daddy - blowing on Daddy's leg, making fart noises. She loved the response from all of us - you can hear Charlie, Ruth, Craig and I laughing quite a bit. P was quite proud of herself!ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-62319808762800456452010-06-30T13:02:00.001-06:002010-06-30T13:02:44.000-06:00<img VideosIt's about time, right!?!? We have several new videos to post, including Parker's famous poop face and her first time crawling. Parker decided to crawl on the morning of my birthday...what a great present! She's doing really well - crawling around all over the place. She's not pulling herself up very much; although daycare has said she's done it a few times, which has resulted in a few bruises on her head. Maybe that's made her a little scared... Her one-year birthday is right around the corner - July 23rd. Can't believe it!

As for other news, we're in the process of moving back to Dallas. Craig is interviewing at a few different companies, and our house is on the market. We hope the timing works out where we won't have to live apart for too long, but however long it takes will be worth it! I'm very excited to be around my family and all of our friends...and all of the new babies there! I'm still not sure what my company will let me do - I'd love to continue to work for them remotely, but I won't talk to them until a move date is more definite. Craig and I are heading to Germany on June 12th, and Bam (Craig's mom) will be taking care of P. Should be a nice time away, but we'll miss her for sure.

I need to get better at posting to this blog, but it's hard to find the time. For now, these videos should provide some pretty good entertainment. Happy spring/summer to you all!ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-87203372948958421652010-02-01T20:55:00.001-07:002010-02-01T20:55:03.178-07:00ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-12989653684705648822010-02-01T20:41:00.004-07:002010-02-01T20:47:45.317-07:006 Months Old!Parker-poo is 6 months old already and has her parents wrapped around her little finger! She is growing like crazy and is doing really great. At her 6 month appointment, she was 16 lbs, 2 oz and measured 27 inches long. Her weight is only in the 55th percentile, but she definitely has some meat on her bones, so that was pretty surprising.

Parker loves all of the foods she's tried so far. She eats great and continues to sleep well, too. We thought this was pretty funny. She loves talking to them, but I don't think she knew what to do when she finally caught one...ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-36267016854102461332009-10-27T15:20:00.001-06:002009-10-27T15:20:02.971-06:00ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-33629841291510676662009-10-19T11:56:00.001-06:002009-10-19T11:56:17.372-06:00

ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-81715913688567496362009-10-19T11:52:00.001-06:002009-10-19T11:52:02.168-06:00ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-13750093292224366512009-10-19T11:04:00.003-06:002009-10-19T11:59:04.716-06:003 Months Old!Parker will be 3 months old this week (13 weeks), and she's really growing and changing. At her 2 month appointment, she was at 12 lbs, 1 1/2 ounces and 22 3/4 inches long...jumping from the 20th percentile to 90th in weight, from 55th to 75th in length. I just weighed her with me last week and she's already over 14 lbs. I had to go buy her some 3-6 month sleepers and long-sleeved onesies since most of her 0-3 month ones were getting pretty snug. She also went up a size in diapers...so exciting!!

She's still sleeping and eating really well - we're in the middle of trying to get her on a schedule, so that's always fun...a lot of trial and error at this point, but I feel like we're pretty close. I figured if I was working, I'd need to get her into some kind of a routine, and I think it'll be good for both of us!

Craig and I took Parker on her first trip back to Dallas and had a great time. It was so nice to spend the week with family and friends, and Parker was really good the whole time. She slept better on the road than she does here ;o)!! As you can see from the pictures, she was quite a hit with everyone she met. And on the video, you can see she's found her tongue...likes to stick it out at mom and dad quite a bit (I apologize for the poor filming - I'm still figuring this stuff out)! We head back to the doctor the week of Thanksgiving for the 4-month check-up, so I'll try to post those results before our trip back to Dallas for the holiday. Can't believe it's almost November already!!!ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-88599560939289356602009-09-15T13:15:00.001-06:002009-09-15T13:15:11.223-06:00

ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-84047101790961973122009-09-15T12:50:00.000-06:002009-09-15T13:22:52.139-06:00Almost 8 weeks...Well, our little Parker-Poo is almost 8 weeks old! She's doing so great - getting more and more of a personality everyday. Craig and I can't stop smiling when we look at her. She has become a really good, calm baby (knock on wood)! The first 4-5 weeks were rough, but something clicked and she started being calmer. Now, she's happy in her bouncy seat or laying on the floor on her playmat and still loves her swing. She's only waking up once at night - between 3 & 4 am - and then is staying in bed until 7 or after, so I'm getting more sleep too. We're very lucky!!

With Parker's new found love of the bouncy chair (as you can see in the video above!), I've been able to run on the treadmill more often. Her routine is becoming more predictable, so that's been a lifesaver! We also took her out in the BOB jogging stroller a week and a half ago and she didn't make a sound...slept most of the time! Whew - that was a relief - I was worried she may have an aversion to it already!

We took Parker to Seattle almost 3 weeks ago - as the pediatrician said, I'd have a harder time with it than she would. She was right! Parker did well on the planes and didn't seem to have a problem adjusting to sleeping in the hotel pack-n-play. I was a little stressed, but not too bad (although Craig will probably say the opposite)! She likes her pacifier these days and that helps a lot with the evenings when she gets a little fussy. Anyway, like I said, we're super lucky!! She'll go to her 2-month appointment next week and I can't wait - the Dr. will probably fall over at how big she's gotten...weighed her last week with me and she was up to 12 lbs!! I'll post more after that appointment next week!ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884321312503687143.post-2167346425653836822009-08-27T10:07:00.000-06:002009-08-27T10:33:38.893-06:005 weeks old already! We can't believe Parker is 5 weeks old already. She's still growing and eating like a champ! We're up to a 5 hour break between 2 of her feedings at night - last night we went from 9-2, so after getting myself ready for bed, I got almost 4 hours of straight sleep. Every night is a different adventure - a lot of trial and error with bedtimes!

I haven't been able to get Parker weighed since her 1 week check-up, but I did step on the scale with her last week and my weight went up 10 lbs. A lot of her newborn clothes aren't fitting anymore, and you can see from the pictures on the right (especially the top one taken yesterday) that she's not missing many meals!

I took Parker in the jogging stroller twice last week, and she wasn't a huge fan; although the picture to the right makes it seem she is. I figured I'd give it another 2 weeks and maybe try it again over Labor Day weekend. The last thing I want is for her to have an aversion to that stroller! We finally got our treadmill fixed this week, too, so now it's running very smoothly. It really hadn't been working that great since we moved here.

Everything else is going really well - we love watching Parker grow and change every week and I think both Craig and I are figuring things out a little easier at this point too. Time does fly though - just like everyone says - especially when your day is broken into 3-hour increments! We leave tomorrow for Seattle, so stay tuned next week to hear about Parker's first flight!!ebstoreyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13865269010596121044noreply@blogger.com1
